Ein tiefer brunnen der stille (A deep well of silence) is an installation representing a well made with sealed black books, volumes of an encyclopedia that will never be used again. A well is symbolically an announcer of Sublimation but also refers to the deep knowledge. If we turn to the mystical contemplative attitude it could also be seen as a place of aesthetic reflection. The well builds a mythological place, in this case for contemplative resistance. The red of the neon lights reminds to fire and blood, but also helps creating a fierce and passionate space to reinforce the idea of an almost impossible resistance from culture.
